On January 7th 2018 at approximately 1:30am Nanuet Ambulance was dispatched to North Pascack and Smith Road for a vehicle that was overturned down an embankment with people trapped inside. The first arriving units were able to get two patients out of the car. However, there was still another patient trapped in the car. After some time and assistance from the Clarkstown Police Dept, Rockland Paramedics and the Spring Valley Fire Dept, we were able to extricate the patient from the vehicle. Due to the severity of injuries and patient count, Spring Hill Ambulance Corps, New City Ambulance Corps, RPS Medic 5 and RPS Medic 25 were also requested to the scene. Our on call operations officer/supervisor also responded to the scene. Two patients were transported to Nyack Hospital and one patient was transported to Westchester Medical Center.
