As the holidays are approaching and traffic in our area becomes heavier, we would like to remind all members of our community that if you see a vehicle with a green light flashing it is volunteer emergency service personnel responding to a "911" emergency!

What should I do if I am approached by a vehicle with a green light flashing?

You do not have to yield to the right of way to these vehicles. However, if you can do so safely, you should yield the right of way to vehicles with a green flashing lights as a courtesy so our volunteer emergency service personnel can quickly and safely get to the emergency call.

Every second matters and we appreciate your courtesy of yielding to the right of way of these vehicles.
