Congratulations are in order for the seven probationary members who successfully completed their NYS Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Original training programs this past month. These volunteer members spent countless hours both in class and outside of class, in our in-house Trainiee Orientation Program, building the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the certification exams given by the NYS Department of Health Bureau of EMS. We wish you continued success as you progress on to your Crew Leader Field Training period. The seven probationary members are:

Rockland County EMS Academy:
Pearse Matthews
Check Young
Lindsay Mitcher
Danielle Shelton

Rockland Community College EMS Programs
Kenny Richards
Stephanie Rivera
Andrew Clark

I would like to especially thank Lt. Christopher Dunlavey who is in charge of our Training Division. Lt. Dunlavey has spent countless hours working with these members to ensure their success both in class
and ensuring thier orientation to our Corps. His work developing out Trainee Orientation Program has been invaluable.

We would also like to acknowledge the successful recertification of two of our veteran volunteer EMTs, Jonathan Korabel and Katie Wangrycht. Thank you for your continued hard work and dediation to our community.
